Dr. Byrne completed his primary education at Mountrath National School in Mountrath, Ireland, his secondary education at Patrician College in Ballyfin, Ireland and attended University College and Mater Misericordiae Hospital in Dublin for his university education. He completed his specialized training in Vascular Surgery at Albany Medical College and University of Wales, Cardiff in 1999.

Dr. Byrne is Board Certified in both General and Vascular Surgery and currently lives in Saratoga Springs NY with his wife Rachel and their 4 children.
