Originally from Hartford Connecticut, Dr. Taggert completed his degree in Economics from Boston College in 1988. He completed his medical schooling at the University of Connecticut, earning his M.D in 1996. Dr. Taggert completed his Internship and residency at the University of Connecticut and followed that with fellowships in both Surgical Critical Care at Hartford Hospital (2000) and Vascular Surgery from Albany Medical College (2004).

Dr. Taggert is Board Certified in both General and Vascular Surgery and is currently an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Albany Medical College.

Dr. Taggert lives in Clifton Park, NY with his wife Heather and their two children.
