Dr. Shah completed his Internship in Surgery from Dacca Medical College in Dacca Bangladesh in 1968. After coming to the United States, Dr. Shah completed his Internship at Albany Memorial Hospital in 1971 and his residency and chief residency at St Peter’s Hospital in 1975. Dr. Shah completed his fellowship in 1976.
Dr. Shah is Board Certified in both General and Vascular Surgery, is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a Professor of Surgery at Albany Medical College. Dr Shah has had such roles as Director of the Karmody Vascular Laboratory, Vice Chair of the Department of Surgery at Albany Medical College and Director of the Institute for Vascular Health and Disease. Dr. Shah is currently a Partner and Vice President of the Vascular Group, PLLC.
Dr. Shah lives in Albany, NY with his wife, Moklesa. They are the parents of three children and grandparents of two grandsons.
