Vascular research and investigation play major roles in our continuation of superior care

The Vascular Group has been participating in clinical trials for over twelve years. Clinical research trials play an essential role in the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) approval process for safe and effective use of drugs and devices.

Through a dedicated vascular research team, our physicians, clinical research nurses and other disciplines work together to provide good clinical studies. The Vascular Group currently conducts studies at Albany Medical Center, St. Peter’s Hospital and the Vascular Health Pavilion.

Our highly skilled physicians collaborate with pharmaceutical and biomedical companies in physician and sponsor driven trials focusing on new drug therapies, techniques and devices such as stents and grafts that can be utilized to effectively treat patients with a variety of vascular diseases. While each trial analyzes the safety and efficacy of medications or devices, some trials also collect data on approved devices or medications for further evaluation, to treat future patients and gain knowledge.
